The Energiapura Long Back Protector is the result of a long developement study that took to the CE certification specific for skiing: also at temperatures down to – 20° C, and therefore it is the first company to offer a product with double certification, studied and designed specifically for winter sports. The effectiveness of the back protector is guaranteed by the CE certification in the back protections category. This means that the tests carried out on the product follow the article 10 of the European Directive 89/686/EEC regarding the essential requisites for wealth and safety of the users. More specifically, the product follows the requisites of the EN: 1621-2:2014 Norm for motorcycling and winter sports. Laboratory tests carried out at temperatures comprised between 0°C and -20°C (and at 21°C, room temperature) simulated the extreme conditions that can happen during the winter sport activities.
EN 1621-1 conform to such standard if the average transmitted force of 9 tests is less than 35 kN, with nosingle test result exceeding 50 kN. European Standard EN 1621-2 de fines two levels of performance for back protectors: for Level 1 the average peak force recorded is below 18 kN (never more than 24 kN), for level 2 it is below 9 kN (never more than 12 kN).
Long Back Protector are made of three layers of MemoryFoam, in different thickness and with holes. Such structure makes the protectors ergonomical, more elastic and breathable through the holes. One worn, it is the body warmth that ensures perfect adherence to the user’s back. The three separate layers break the impact force by lowering it from layer to layer and dissipating it on the whole surface of the protector.
